If you’ve ever flipped through a Time magazine or just wandered about the internet it is inevitable, you would land upon one of the most succesful people in the field of technology, Bill Gates. While most people believe that only pop singers and television personalities have nicknames for themselves, this is not true, infact the multi-billionaire, business magnate’s real name is William Henry Gates lll ! As a child Gates was raised in an upper middle class home in Seattle, Washington. He lived with his parents, William Henry Gates Sr. and Mary Maxwell Gates, he also has 2 sisters named Libby(younger) and Kristianne(older).During the time that Bill Gates’s early years he was very competitive and loved board games, especially Monopoly. In his academic career Gates surpassed most, he scored a whopping 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT in Lakeside High school and joined Harvard after graduation. It was obvious Bill's mind was a bit distracted, he had been seen spending most of his time in the computer lab, so academically he wasn't the same. During the time he was becoming a billionaire, there were lots of issues around the world being talked about but not much was done to solve them, knowing this Gates started the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation which still improves the world today, this connects to me because I too believe that though talk is important it simply isn't enough to solve an issue.
