William A. Bishop was born on February 8, 1894 in Owen Sound, Ontario. He was an observer and a flying ace in World War I and an air marshal for the RCAF during World War II. He attended the Royal Military College and enlisted into the Canadian Mounted Rifles after World War I began. He decided to transfer to the Royal Flying Corps due to poor trench war conditions and became a successful ace fighter pilot after being an observer for 4 months. After the war, Billy starts tours in America about his wartime experiences.
He was a platoon sergeant, a cadet master sergeant, and the youngest senior noncommissioned officer in the entire corps. He was at the time in charge of changing the insubordinate kids, which he used to be. His behavior, attitudes, and speech were totally reformed as he was following and practicing the motto. The biggest reason why he was changed is the responsibility in the school and the family.
He was promoted all the way to captain. After the war he went back to portsmouth and with the money he had he started a lumber company called walnut lumber co. He also has lumber companies in Portsmouth, Boston, and Portland Maine. He owns several ship which he uses to ship his lumber and he also rents them to other people. He is Married and has four kids.
AUDIE MURPHY JUNE 28, 1971 MAY 28, 1971 MOST DECORATED WWII AMERICAN SOLDIER BORN IN KINGSTON, TEXAS Audie Leon Murphy was born to poor Texas sharecroppers, Emmett and Josie Bell Murphy. He was the sixth of twelve children. Audie grew up on farms near Farmersville, Celeste, and Greenville, Texas. His father abandoned the family in 1936, when Audie was in the fifth grade.

During the First World War he was assigned command of the Destroyers: USS Benham and USS Shaw, with the mission of defending against German U-boats and protecting commerce with Europe. It was during these commands that he was able to really gain the reputation as a great leader known especially for aggressively following his gut making decisions some would deem incorrect due to evidence but this is what set Halsey apart at the time. Most notably during this time he was awarded the Naval Cross because of the outstanding job he did in defending against the U-boats. Once the war concluded he was then promoted to be the commanding officer on board an aircraft carrier. The only stipulation however, was that he had to get his wings and train as a naval aviator.
Winfield Scott Hancock was born on February 14, 1823, in Montgomery square, Pennsylvania. The son of Benjamin Franklin Hancock and Elizabeth Hoxworth Hancock. Winfield was named after the a famous general in the war of 1812. Winfield 's parents and family has lived in Montgomery for generations and there of English, Scottish, and Welsh descent. Winfield was first educated at Norristown and then when the first public school came out in the 1830s, he was taken out of Norristown Academy and was put in the-the new school.
Charles Yeager, known as Chuck Yeager, is a spectacular pilot that lived during that period. He grew up in West Virginia. Chuck lived a normal life up until after high school when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He was an excellent pilot. The Yeagers P-51 Mustang was once shot down, and he avoided getting captured and went to Spain.
General Douglas MacArthur was a legendary figure in American military history. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1880, MacArthur was a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he excelled in academics and athletics. MacArthur served in the Philippines, Japan, and Europe during his illustrious career, and he is perhaps best known for his leadership in the Pacific during World War II. MacArthur first gained notoriety during World War I, where he served as chief of staff of the 42nd (Rainbow) Division.

He had some success, his troop had killed a French Commander. He then became ranked as a Colonel. Which was a huge honor. When George was only twenty three, he became the commander of all the troops for Virginia.
On January 26, 1880 at the Little Rock Barracks in Arkansas, Douglas Macarthur would be born into the military life. His father, Arthur was a decorated Civil War hero and Army Captain. His mother, Mary was a native of Virginia where her brothers also fought in the Civil War. He had two older brothers, Arthur III who was born on August 1, 1876 and Malcolm who was born on October 17, 1878.
Douglas MacArthur was no exception. MacArthur was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 26, 1880 on an army base. As a newborn baby, he saw life from a different perspective being on an army base. Growing up on an army base, he always had a vision in his head that he was to to be a man in the army. With his parents’ backgrounds, MacArthur had the military mindset in his blood.
