Billy the Kid
Billy the Kid was one of the most renowned outlaws in America, in the late 1800.
He became famous because of the numerous people he murdered and robbed over the 21 years of his life, his first kill was at the age of 18. And then continued over the next four years till he was shot dead.
Billy the Kid was born on November 23, 1859, in New York City to his parents Catherin Bonnie. Later on, Billy’s mother married William Antrim and he became Henry’s stepfather, William had a son Joe McCarty. Henry began adventuring with his newly-found brother. In 1877 Henry was deep into a criminal gang where he assumed the alias “William H. Bonnie.”

After leaving Joe and his stepfather William, Henry became a member of a ranch and the bodyguard of John Tunstall. John was later on murdered by a rival cattle gang, in 1878, which made Henry participate in the Lincoln County War. Henry became furious after finding out and soon after became the leader of a vigilante posse called “regulators” their purpose was to capture or kill the individuals who killed John. Not one of the perpetrators was captured but two of them were killed by Henry’s posse. After the killings, a war broke out between the rival gangs and, amplified after Henry killed John’s murderer, Lincoln’s Sheriff Bill Brady.
At one point in time, Henry was surrounded by law enforcement and hid in a small hut. One of the individuals with Henry at the time stepped out and was instantly shot dead thinking the individual was Henry. The head of the law enforcement party was Garrett.

At the same time Henry was venturing around the porch with a knife and revolver in his both hands, Henry ran into John Poe, and said “Quien es?” But Poe did not answer and came to confront Henry, but he retreated to Pete Maxwell’s room continuing to ask Poe to identify himself. Henry entered the room unaware that Maxwell and Garrett were in the room, in the dark, “Who are those fellows outside, Pete” “Henry”. Maxwell identified the person who entered the room as Henry, to Garrett. Henry became aware there were others in the room and asked “Quien es? Quien es?” again. Garrett drew his gun and fired at the voice, but the spark dazzled Garrett in the dark room, but Garrett moved to the other side and continued to fire. However, the first shot hit Henry and he collapsed and died. Garrett was unaware but with no movement assumed he had perished, Garrett left the room and met Poe, saying “That was the Kid that came in here and I think I got him” “Garrett” but Poe did not believe it until Maxwell came out with a light, which about got himself shot for startling them both with the light Maxell was holding they confirmed that Garret had indeed shot and killed
