All it took was for the child to be born in the U.S and automatically they are granted with the same benefits as the main U.S Citizens. Also if we ask our self, “ Why are so many immigrants from all over the world continually coming to the U.S and decide to stay there?”

The reasons why these people immigrate is either they are simply forced to, due to violence and hostility or that they are in search of a better life for them, and or their family etc. Canada being rated number one in quality of life has been a goal for people wanting to immigrate. Based on the data by Migration Policy Institute (2015), the number of immigrants in 1970 was approximately 9.6 million people and by 2010, the number had reached approximately 40 million. The number of immigrants keeps on rising, and is expected to continue to rise in the future. The astonishing amount is bound to have some effects on the host country, in this case the United States, in many things including the economy. Many experts and economists argue whether immigrants bring more benefits or disadvantages for the economy of the country they’re immigrating to.
Immigration is advantageous to our society as it can not only imbue our nation with new ideas, but also brings in workers who will take jobs that many native-born citizens will not. The main drawback of mass immigration is the difficulty of providing citizenship to so many (Wilkinson). The problems caused by birthright citizenship and illegal immigration could be solved through the creation of a North American labor
