The mission statement of Bob Moore Construction, of Arlington, Texas reads as follows: Our mission is: To perform for our customers the highest level of quality construction services at fair and market competitive prices. To ensure the longevity of our company through repeat and referral business achieved by customer satisfaction in all areas including timeliness, attention to detail and service minded attitudes. To maintain the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty, and fairness in our relationships with our suppliers, subcontractors, professional associates and customers. Formally accredited by their peers in the field of tilt-up construction. This certification acknowledges contractors who prove commitment to quality, safety and integrity. (Melby,2013) Tilt-up concrete construction is potentially a dangerous occupation, Bob Moore Construction has a reputation of being safe. Company President Philip Bell, (2006), concluded his Statement of Policy in the company’s Safety and Health Manual by stating: “Achievement of our objectives will allow us to provide for our customers a quality product and a safe healthful work area for our employees.” (p.3) Evidence of safe policies and practices can be found in the fact that Bob Moore Construction was the first general contractor in North Texas to become a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s, (OSHA), Local Partnership Program. The program recognizes companies who have proven through a vigorous review process that they are committed to safety and health for their workers and subcontractors, subsequently allowing for more self-government. Members are chosen for their outstanding safety programs, reviews are done of the company’s Safety and Health Programs, insurance claims, and onsite inspections, members are reassessed on an annual basis. They have also received the Zero Lost Time Safety Award from the TCA for no job site
