During the Great Depression many people in America were struggling to get money just to get themselves by. Some even going as far to become criminals. However, history still remembers two criminals the names Bonnie and Clyde for what they did. Clyde Barrow was born in March 24,1909 in Texas. He was born into a farming family as the fifth child out of seven children . He attended school until the age of six. Many say he stopped going to school to help his family out. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker was born on October 1,1910 in Texas, she was the middle child. She also had an older brother and younger sister. In high school she was a bright student,had interest in poetry, and in honor classes. Her father passed away when she was just four years old. She married her high school boyfriend at the age of 16 in 1926, the couple separated in 1929. Bonnie dreamed of being an actress but once her separation happened her dreams were crushed. The couple met January 1930, Bonnie was 19 years and Clyde 20. Several weeks after they met Clyde was arrested for auto-thef. Bonnie snuck in a gun and gave it to Clyde; he escaped on March 11,1930. He was captured a week later and sentenced to 14 years of hard labor. While he was serving his time he was raped repeatedly. He couldn't take it anymore so he cut two of his toes to be released. During this period they killed about 13 people including police officers. They were also robbing banks and small business. A robbery once went wrong and Bonnie was imprisoned for 2 months. The court failed to prove she was guilty stating she was kidnapped into Clyde's gang. She immediately reunited with Clyde after. In June 1933, Bonnie was in a car accident and her leg burned due to the batter acid. She had to be mostly carried around for the rest of her life.
