Throughout human history, many things have happened. We all have done bad and good things to others and have forgotten that “all men are created equal.” In the book Night, was written by Elie Wiesel, the author has brought me into to a new world of experiencing how, specifically, human have done wrongly things to others. Started with hatred, the Nazi Party turned themselves into what’s called “mass murders” mainly targeted to the Jewish. They were the army that under-controlled by Adolf Hitler. Nowadays, such thing that are familiar is still happening around the world. History has been repeated many times and the cycle will keep going. A group with different skin color or religion will be treated bad. In particularly, a group of terrorist called themselves ISIS is having their target on the Yazidis. Their main reason that the Yazidis was being targeted is simply of their religion. Now they were being trapped on a mountain and live without food or water due to the massacre of the ISIS in Sinjar. Their religious differences have made them a target for persecution throughout history, most recently during the U.S. war in Iraq - in 2007, more than 700 people were killed when suicide bombers attacked a Yazidi village. For example, the author was once came across of the idea how Rabbi’s son was trying to run away from his own father for his own safety and chances of survival, while Rabbi was trying to look for him. Elie Wiesel, however, was strong-minded enough to stop the idea of making the same mistake that Rabbi’s son have done. In the critically thinking of himself, he prayed “My God, Lord of the Universe, give [him] the never to do what Rabbi Eliahou’s son has done [to his father].” (chap. 5). This is part of the reasons why I think Night is relevant to me because almost all new young generation today has never experienced similar thing that Elie went through. We would tend to train ourselves to be more independent on our own and live for ourselves, but forgot that we're also responsible to protect the people around us when something bad happen. I have learned that Elie is a brave man who can quickly stop the mindset of leaving family behind for his own good
