Emma Carruth Period 2 25 October, 2015 Dr. Frank Project Proposal Researchable Question: How does a circuit connected to a pump regulator, which models an artificial pancreas, affect the regulation of blood sugar over time? Experiments: Using an acidic solution (Vinegar) to mimic the high blood glucose levels and a basic solution (Baking Soda) to mimic the insulin. A pump, that is connected to a cricut board, will turn on and off automatically based on how high the glucose levels are and it will add the basic solution to the acidic solution so that it will return the glucose levels to normal. I will see if and how the pump transfers the basic solution to the acidic solution with the starting levels of the vinegar in order to neutralize the “blood

The short story "Brownies"(1999) by ZZ (Zuwena) Packer, takes place at a summer camp (Camp Crescendo) close to the south rural areas of Atlanta, Georgia. An arrangement is created when the African American Brownie troop learns and trusts that one of the fourth-graders from the white troop insulted them with a deprecatory racial slur. They proceed to challenge the white troop to a fight inside a bathroom only to learn a valuable lesson. The central idea of “Brownies” is that racism is not confined just to adults; it can also be found in young children. The two main literacy elements are language using irony and conflict.
The Crusades affected the lives of the followers Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths. However, the Jews were impacted the most during this time in the Crusades with only negative outcomes. Almost all of the people following the Jewish faith were tortured by Christians because of what the forefathers had done in which they were getting back at the Jews for killing Jesus for no reason. The Jewish chronicler in 1096 stated, “Let us first avenge ourselves on them and exterminate them from among our nations so that the name of Israel will no longer be remembered, or let them adopt our faith,” (Document D). The Christians forced the Jews to either leave, die, or adopt the Christian faith.
The Crusades was a war between two religions , which were Islam and Christianity. They both were fighting for the holy land in Jerusalem. For the Christians the holy land meant that Jesus was born there. For the Muslims the holy land was where Muslims believe Muhammad the prophet was taken to heaven by Allah which is called The Dome Of Rock. In our opinion the Crusades were a failure because it was a waste of time and a lot of lives were lost.
Mark Bittman a columnist for the New York Times and author of “Bad Food? Tax It, and Subsidize Vegetables” “July 23, 2011”, argues that people should open their eyes and fight to decrease obesity by going against the processed foods industries that make the bad foods. Bittman supports this thesis by saying how the food industry is incapable of marketing healthier foods, that instead of subsidizing production of unhealthy foods they should be taxed and make healthy food more affordable and available, then he goes on by saying how much money can be saved by taxing per ounce of sugar in sweetened beverages by one penny lastly Bittman claims how our society is profiting off of foods that make us sick and obese and how America could make a program
“I’d like a tropical guava smoothie, please.” The cashier nods her head and gives me a smug look while she is putting a lid on a cup. I could tell what she was thinking. It was the universal someone-had-too-much-to-drink-last-night look. I could care less.
Just combine all the ingredients. I ended up having to use my hands to get everything all mixed
Narrator and Sara’s Tone In Anzia Yezierska 's Bread Givers of 1952, a family of immigrant parents living in poverty in the ghetto of New York City struggle to survive. Sara and the narrator both had an awestruck tone towards Max. No matter who was talking, they speak so kind and fondly about Max. Besides their similarities, there were many differences in speed and purpose. When Sara was speaking, she had a very hasty tone where her words were repetitive and scattered.
Pizza Shops In the event that you have quite recently moved to another zone, and you have dependably had an exceptional spot where you went consistently for pizza, you are most likely looking for a substitution. You won't not discover anything very like what you had, but rather in any event require a spot where you like the menu, the value, environment, and taste. You likely think the menu is a critical piece of a pizzeria. Despite the fact that you and your family adore pizza, that won't not be what you arrange each time you go to your most loved pizzeria.
Don’t even get me started on the American food industry! The american food industry is one of the only food industries in the whole wide world that favors money over the health of its citizens. The food that most Americans eat is processed crap, if you can even call it food! How many of you have eaten popcorn, chips, candy, or crackers in the last week? The amount of chemicals in the food we eat as a country on a daily basis is freaking ridiculous.
