After leaving the party at 12:30 a.m, a car pulled up next to Biggie’s and shot him four times in the chest. Biggie was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead only an hour later. The murderer is still unknown but one of the many popular theories is that Biggie was killed as revenge for his rival, Tupac Shakur, who was murdered six months prior to Biggie’s murder. In the theory, Biggie arranged for a few members of the Crips gang to murder Tupac for being associated with the Bloods gang.
