The Escape from Alcatraz Alcatraz has contained the worst criminals the world has ever seen from Machine Gun Kelly to Al Capone. A place called “The Rock” where criminals are pushed to their limits. Alcatraz was a living nightmare for fugitives who thought they had a chance. With the tight quarters and little outside connection the prisoners were forced to think outside of the box if they wanted to stay sane. Although many Alcatraz inmates found what could be their forever home, others believed it was just a stop before they attained all their freedom. Many tried to escape the harsh ways of the island, but with limited options most were killed or overpowered before they entered the waters of the surrounding island. Except for the most interesting and smartest prisoners Alcatraz had to offer. (video 1) Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers gained their freedom. Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers escape the prison, survive the swim and then leave no trace as to where they are today. Many sceptics believe that the trio didn't survive, but there is a lot of evidence that they did survive.

Some individuals say that they couldn't have survived the swim. They state that many people have tried the swim and made it across, but these were experienced swimmers with special clothes. Others have made the same swim with limited clothing as if they were a inmate escaping, and have made the swim across the waves to the Angel island. Another strong point about the escape was the officials of Alcatraz has since stated that the three men have drowned.
