Nobody knows what caused the crash of the “Beechcraft Bonanza”, but we do know that it caused the death of three young musicians, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valenz, and “The Big Bopper”
Holly had Just started his music career in 1947 with his band “The Crickets”, and In 1957 “The Crickets” first found fame with the song “That’ll Be The Day”
“That’ll Be The Day” hit the top forty singles only two years before the crash, and he was ranked thirteen out of one-hundred on “The Rolling Stones” one-hundred greatest artists.

Valens was considered an inspiration to hispanic rock stars and a pioneer of latino rock, but he was only able to write two hit songs given his year long career.
