Along with the regionalistic narrators, both stories show regionalistic qualities in their themes. In “The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” the theme is cunning and cleverness. Jim Smiley shows he is cunning and clever by winning every bet he ever made. Although, after making a bet with a stranger in which he believes knows nothing about frogs, he bets him forty dollars that his frog can outjump any frog in Calaveras county, but he surprisingly doesn't win. After making the bet, the stranger claims he doesn't have a frog, so Simley leaves his frog and the forty dollars he bet behind with the stranger to go down to the swamp to fetch him a frog.
Desert bighorn sheep are the parks largest and most magnificent animals. They are always on the move, and very mobile (so they can go form water source to water source.) This is surprising as they have to carry up to 30 pounds of curling horns. Their agility is a critical factor for surviving in death valley. Along with the fact that they have a high ability to travel to water and high mountain slopes.
(Michael Franco). Because of Glass Frogs being so small they are very easy targets to catch and kill, but the glass frogs do have a way to hide. they hide under leaves on the ground or even on the plants, that 's the only way that they would have a chance of surviving. (Soft

It is typically 1.5 to 5 inches in length. This is an issue because it is not native to North America. The treefrogs were brought to North America by ships travelling from the Caribbean. Since there are no predators to the animal the population has been able to spread all the up to North Florida and the Jacksonville region. People have reported that when the Cuban Tree Frogs appear on their property the population of native frogs, toads, lizards, spiders, and insects have severely dropped.
Around the world, poison frog populations have been declining due to unknown reasons. Two experiments were conducted promptly in order to find the cause of the disappearances. One hypothesis suggested that the poison frogs are in a decline because of an infectious fungus called chytrid fungus. On the contrary, another hypothesis alludes to the idea that decreasing leaf litter is causing the widespread decline. Although it seems that there are multiple reasons for the decline, it is unquestionable that, according to the data from the experiments, that leaf litter is one of the main components of the decreasing population of poison frogs, having multiple replicates of data is important in finding the answer to the decline, and that there is much more to investigate about this problem.
Snakes can really give a shiver through people 's body. Did you know Burmese pythons can grow about 4 times your size. The Everglades is located in Florida and being taken over by big snakes. In the story “The Celebrated Jumping Frog Of Calaveras County” by Mark Twain, the narrator allows readers to grasp a tiny portion of how different people are from west to east coast and their different sense of humor. Mark Twain was the epitome of what people could call the “southern gentleman” , he was a courteous and well-mannered man. The author is describing the appearance of the character in which he is talking about. For example, “he is a simple man, fat and bald- headed, and had an expression of winning gentleness and simplicity upon his tranquil countenance” the author is describing how the character’s body and appearance is, but he is also talking over his expressions and how he reacts towards certain situation which would be like

Propaganda was used as a weapon by the United states. The use of propaganda was used as a tactic to encourage the war.
Through upbringing, children learn right from wrong, be it about language, stealing, or other behavior. Yet this is not true in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (a satire by Mark Twain, 1884). Young Huck never experienced a home that felt like home, or taught the rights and wrongs of life. Between his father Pap and The Widow’s influence on him, Huck was as confused as a chicken in a pillow factory. The immoral Pap passed his negativity and uncivilized lifestyle to Huck.

With the increased levels of eutrophication occurring worldwide, the authors state that this increase could pose a huge threat to amphibian populations already at risk. Frogs located in certain eutrophic waters (where Ribeiroia ondatra are present) are having to face a higher risk of contracting the parasite which could devastate populations globally. Even worse, they believe that snails may continually compound the effects of eutrophication for years to come; elevating the risk even higher for frogs as time goes on. The authors state that this risk is also heightened by wetland loss as these frogs may have to relocate to eutrophic habitats where these parasites are prevalent. Their research shows the power that these additional nutrients may have on amphibian populations not only now, but also in the years to
