Bullies are on a rise on all levels since deaths, suspension and expulsions are part of the consequences. Bullying is defined by one’s actions as making threats, spreading rumors about someone, teasing, calling names and/or physically or verbally attacking a person. This is a serious crime! It was in the past as a counterclaim that it makes one stronger to stand up to bullies but now kids are committing suicide because of the threats and verbal abusive language. There was a time when parents instructed their kids to fight back and it was all physical or calling names. However, bullying covers a whole gamut of newer definitions and one will go to jail for repeated documented actions defined as bullying. So, this is a serious matter and lives are at stake if bullying is involved. Innocent lives can be at stake if a child “go postal.”
Teasing a person is not nice at all. Teasing and provoking someone to anger is a sure sign of bullying in the highest form. When teasing a student, he or she may seem down and low in the dumps. In today’s time, students are hanging themselves, cutting their arms and taking pills to end their lives because of harsh, taunting, slimy teasing words and gestures towards them. However, now, in the real-world bullying is teasing and punishable under law if a student tease another repeatedly over and over.
