Bullying is a somber problem in todays society. Bullying can change a person’s life in several ways. Victims who choose to not reach for help are the ones who become depressed and think of suicide. Why would a human being want to terminate another’s life, one word is all it takes to hurt someone who’s in despite need of help. There are three types of bullying, cyberbullying, verbal, and physical. None of these forms of bullying should be happening, but we can’t stop the hatred in the world. The aggressor purposely tries to verbally upset the victim through provoking and teasing. Bullies are motivated by different reasons. The person bullying might be jealous of the victim, or they might have trouble at home and let it all out on the victim to make them feel better. Or, they just want to show off in front of a group of people. Lastly, Physical bullying includes bodily contact between a bully and the victim, for pressure or control over the victim. Physical bullying results in kicking, shoving, punching. Physical bullying is the most abrupt threat of serious injury. It can push the victim so much that he/she could start to feel not worth living anymore. Physical bullying can cause bruising, cuts, or even broken bones. As shown above, no one should go through situations like the ones listed. No matter the kind of bullying, weather it be Cyberbullying, Physical, or Verbal, it is unacceptable behavior. A victim shouldn’t show the bully that they feel offended. Bullies get satisfaction from making others feel hurt. For instance, reacting to them will only encourage them further. The relationship between bullying and suicide are high. People who engage in suicide-related behavior often feel overwhelmed by feeling helpless and hopeless.
