Control is a way to achieve goals by applying some rules to yourself and the ones that are working for you. Control is used by everyone in the world, in their personal life of in their jobs and is achieved when those rules and regulations you apply work and gets you where you planned to be. Control is difficult to achieve, and that’s why every now and then you have to change the way you control things and arrange it every time that is stopping you from achieving the established goal. Although the negative comments in the webpage are always emerging, and hurtful, the restaurant is constantly being pressured to provide better services and products for the customers to be satisfied. This is something innovative to the food industry due to the fact that studies have shown that based on the customer´s reviews, restaurants are not increasing their responses. Moreover, another study showed that restaurants that pay attention to the reviews are 20% more likely to get reservations (Vanderblit, march 13, 2015). The global product division head, Adam Medros, stated that “Saying sorry is important, but it´s not enough to say sorry if you don´t like the carpet”, instead of saying “Here´s our plan for fixing that.” (Vanderblit, 2015). Furthermore, Grant Achatz (Alinea) always follows the advice and complains, he states that “the more we know about who is coming into our restaurant, the better we´ll be able to fulfill our obligation to do what will make them feel happy.” (As cited in An, 2010). Feedback control such as this one allows clients to be happy and remain loyal to the restaurant.
