Business Plan Aim: The aim of the event is to deliver a session on rookie lifesaving which will include workshops on pool work, CPR and first aid. This event also aims to raise awareness of junior lifeguarding to the children. The event will help support resilience and wellbeing within the community by delivering programmes which meet the needs of the entire community. The event links into the Active Aberdeen Partnership strategy to activate the city. Their aim is to do this by increasing opportunity and participants in physical activity, investing in the infrastructure of people and places and also being inclusive so everybody has the opportunity to stay active. Contact attending schools to inform them of the details for the day, also contact RGU Sport to find out the cost of hiring the hall and swimming pool for the day of the event. Marketing: To begin the marketing of the event local primary schools will be telephoned to ask enquire about their possible participation. Further contact with the schools could be made via email and also visit to inform the staff and pupils face to face about the event itself. This liaison with the school is where the vital information will be given. For example; the plan for the day of the event, appropriate clothing, medical information and details such as the time that the schools should arrive, who will be meeting them on the day and where.
