Calvin Coolidge

Calvin Coolidge was the 30th president of the United States. He was born July 4, 1872 in Plymouth Virginia. Colonel John Calvin Coolidge was his father who served lots of terms in the state legislature. His mother Victoria died when Calvin was just a young boy at the age of twelve. He only had one sister who’s name was Abigail who was about three years younger than him and she died when she was in her teens. In 1900 he served on the town council and was named the vice president of the local bank.

When he was just thirty-two he dated and married Grace Goodhue, a teacher at the local school for the hearing impaired. It was a happy marriage they even had two sons, one named Calvin Jr. and the other John. In the year of 1906 he
