“Canada is a multicultural nation and will become even more so as time goes on.” The statement represents how Canada is so rich in culture and how welcoming we are. Canada is a land full of immigrants and will continue to grow with more people with different cultures. All Canadians are descendants of immigrants that immigrated to Canada in one point in their lifetime. Being a child of Indian immigrants, I experience a lot of multiculturalism. It is a whole new world outside the boundaries of my home. I do have a lot of similarities to the culture than most Indians because of my family being Catholic. Being an Indian I have to face a lot stereotypes but almost none of them are true. I am just like any other catholic girl who attends mass on Sunday and going to get married in a white gown. Not everyone is the same. Everyone has different skin tone, hair, eyes etc.… School is place everyone comes to study and I learn new things from everyone. I am learning a lot about new cultures and traditions because of this advantage of multiculturalism. I do believe Canada adequately supports a multicultural society because the government is so accepting of new immigrants and refugees. The government provides the new immigrants and refugees with financial help until they are good on their own. They are always difficulties when you move to a new country and Canadian government are so acceptant of it. There are social services like YMCA that provide help to get settled in the
