Tobacco is one of the biggest drugs being distributed legally in the world. Ever since its mass production in the 1900’s it has boomed into one of the biggest industries in the world. Cannabis has recently become legal in the United States in eight out of the 50 states. All though cannabis is still considered a schedule one drug it has not halted the legalization process that much. Tobacco and cannabis are two of the most popular legally usable drugs in the United States ( in some states) and in other countries (in some areas) but which is better for you. This popularity is due to the powerful psychoactive effects of the cannabinoids being released into the body. The most commonly known cannabinoid that is most commonly associated with cannabis is THC. THC aka tetrahydrocannabinol is a chemical that is mainly responsible for the psychoactive effects that are experienced after use of the drug. Trichomes are the little crystals like formations you see on the outside of the cannabis plant. Trichomes are reason cannabis has different smells, taste and psycho effects. Inside trichomes are hundreds of cannabinoids including THC and CBD two of the more noteworthy and most commonly known cannabinoids out of the many different types. Cannabinoids are the most important out of all the chemicals that are present in cannabis. Other common cannabinoids that are commonly known are CBG and CBN. CBN all alone gives a gentle psychoactive impact, yet when joined with THC can make you feel sluggish and actuate rest.
