Marijuana can impact anyone going into the criminal justice field, such as law enforcement. If marijuana were legalized It would impact the way officers do their job when handling people who have possession of marijuana. The charges for people who illegally have marijuana would change drastically. The entire law about marijuana would be completely different. Numerous people want marijuana legalized. Many people know that marijuana is a known gateway drug that can lead people to harder drugs if they induce marijuana on a regular basis or even on every occasion. Marijuana should be illegal for recreational usage but legal for people who need it for medical reasons.
Marijuana can be smoked as a cigarette (or a joint), but not limited to being smoked through with a dry pipe or a water pipe known as a “bong.” Marijuana can also be mixed with foods and mixtures and eaten or brewed as tea, these types are known as “edibles.” Some marijuana users will purchase a cigar and remove the tobacco and replace it with marijuana, this would be considered a “blunt.” Joints and blunts are sometimes mixed with more …show more content…

This means that if marijuana were legalized this moment, everyone previously who has been convicted of marijuana, would have to finish out their sentence and would not get off of it. This is a good thing, if someone broke the law by inducing marijuana when it was clearly illegal, there should be no reason that someone should be able to get off that sentence because now it is legal. This has been a serious question for people wondering if marijuana was legalized, should the people in jail for marijuana charges be able to get off since it is legal now?
