Marijuana can be used as a whole to treat some illnesses and conditions. It is, however, worth noting that medicinal marijuana is used to treat some conditions, and is not for recreational purposes. The use of marijuana for medicinal purposes has been controversial but it has received approval from some organizations. Other regulatory organizations such as the United States Food and Drug Administration does not recognize the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. There are also states that have approved the use of marijuana in medication. In fact, more than half of the states and the District of Colombia have legalized the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. Missouri passed a bill that would see patients using smokeless cannabis. Michigan has collected enough signatures required to legalize the use of cannabis for leisure purposes.
