Marijuana, no matter if it is for medical or recreational use, causes mind-altering feelings in the body. Considered to be used for medical purposes in the sense that it relieves strong joint pain. Marijuana contains THC, essentially the main active ingredient helps users relieve tissue and muscle pain. Although no real scientific evidence confirms the fact that marijuana use does indeed contain medical purposes, many medical marijuana users stand by it. In the sense that marijuana not only has the ability to relieve pain, but to also help with swelling. Once again, marijuana can come in the form of oils, medical marijuana users use said oils as an ointment to treat the affected areas. Within the government, federal and state levels are split off in order to allow for the states to apply certain rules that fit their society. Hence, why only certain states have legalized marijuana, either medical or recreational. States have the power to make certain laws and restrictions so long as they stay within the state, and so long as it fits their needs, society wise. In this case, states have started to legalize marijuana in order to raise economic standards, along with helping certain affected patients who benefit from such drug. At a federal level, not enough evidence, research, and experiments have been gathered in order to fully provide a reason as to how and why marijuana is a medical tool, along with enough of a reason that support the drug not being highly addictive. A major reason as to why marijuana is still categorized as a Schedule I Drug, has to do with all the effects that marijuana has on the body.
