The drug laws have become more and more lenient on marijuana as time goes by. It is important to see the impact of drugs on families and children. The facts are that more and more citizens are becoming more dependent on medical marijuana. The people of the United States are all but unified on the medical marijuana laws trying to make it legal in multiple states and in other cities. The US government affects the lives of citizens through drug laws that prohibit Americans from purchasing and using illegal drugs. The judicial branch has started laws banning drugs. The judicial branch affects the lives of citizen more than any other branch when it comes to drug laws having convicted over 300,000 people for possession of illegal drugs; taking the freedom away from certain individuals for years. Mass numbers of citizens protest for the legalization of marijuana. Due to voters, in many states legislation has had no choice but to legalize marijuana because of voters. In New England police and other law enforcement has been trying to reverse the legalization of medical marijuana.
