Capital punishment is one of the biggest issues in America. Many see it as barbaric and against American values. Others see it as a very important tool in preventing crimes. It is a highly publicized issue. A national debate. I do not support it in any way, shape, or form. There are several reason as to why I personally think it should be illegal. Other countries probably think we're insane. We are only a minority of the places on the earth that still use this method. It's very espensive compared to life in prison, it sends the completly wrong message, & it provides an 'easy' way out for those awaiting death behind bars.It makes America look cruel & disgraceful. The death penalty is uncalled for.

Why give them the easy way out? It's like we're providing some sense of mercy or sympathy. Death too good for someone who took other human lives. With a death sentence, suffering is over in less than an instant. They have to live in prison for a while until their day comes then it's all over for them. With a sentence to life in prison, suffering could go on for decades. Prisoners are confined to what is basically a cage and live in a place of rape and violence. Sometimes to where prisoners treat one another like animals. Killing someone who killed someone I loved wouldn't bring me closure. Its not an eye for an eye anymore. I get that you wouldn't have to worry about them getting out but you're okay with them getting killed because they killed someone you loved. I would get more satisfaction out of letting them sit inside a cell for the rest of their lives and let them torture themselves with the blood on their hands. Killing them is just putting them out of misery they should be feeling inside a cell. They get an easy way out. It doesn't bring the victim/s back. What point does it really
