Capital Punishment Capital Punishment has been around since 1607 in America. From the time it all began until present time it has not seem to come to an end. I strongly disagree with the Death Penalty. People should not be murdered for being murderers. The legal system is trying to keep the community safe, but is actually getting revenge for committing their crime. We do not rape the rapist or abuse the abusers therefore we should not be murdering the murderers. It keeps the community safe from the criminals that have committed a capital crime. It brings peace to the victim’s family. The death penalty should be given to those that are in really guilty and have enough evidence to put them away to die. The community should not fear to go outside of their house because of people that commit crimes. They should be able to walk outside their front yard and feel the safeness of the community. The death penalty should be given to people that deserve because it is not fair to the victims that did not get to see day light another day. The criminal should not be living a life of worry free. They are not really all there and sometimes do things without thinking. They do not know right from wrong. Even though they have a really low IQ that does not mean that they did it intentionally to hurt a person. “Courts have established that inmates who are insane – so out of touch with reality that they do not know right from wrong and cannot understand their punishment or the purpose of it – cannot be executed (Ford v.
