Capitalist free market systems operate on efficiency and little government intervention. This results in a larger class conflict due to overwhelming amounts of laborers in comparison to the amount of employers, resulting in a unequal distribution of wealth. Marx critiques capitalism by arguing that laborers do not have enough power to pick their wages, thus they could easily be exploited for cheap and fast pace labor. Sweden, a small successful country next to Norway and Finland, has one of the most successful economies in the world. Sweden uses a mixed economic system. A mixed economy has a market system, which allows participants to receive the benefits of their work, while also incorporating a unique form of command socialism, allowing government intervention, in order to improve efficiency, equality, and cooperation. This is seen with the schooling in Sweden, every citizen is guaranteed free high-quality education, through the college level. Guaranteeing high quality education, at no cost, eliminates much of the struggle associated with rise in class level, but more importantly allows the nation as a whole to be more educated increasing the international competitiveness of its firms. Another policy installed by the Swedish government was a mandatory allowance of five weeks paid vacation time. This policy protects laborers from exploitation. This is the success behind Sweden. By providing quality universally benefits to its citizens it ensures that regardless of the wealth a person was born into they are able to benefit from the same resources as the the rest of the population.
