The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a racing venue located within the Indianapolis suburb, Speedway, Indiana, is the host venue to the Indianapolis 500. On race days, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway affords fans the opportunity to arrive earlier and watch the drivers do their practice laps prior to the big race. The week before on the Friday is Fast Friday where the drivers continue to practice and do their qualification draw at the Coke Stage. Carb days offers a fun event for fans to watch called the pit challenge where fans get to watch the racing teams try the quickest to change all four tires and refuel the car, the winner of the challenge gets cash and bragging rights until the following race next year. It offers fans first hand experience of what the race team does during the race and how face the crews can get the car ready to back onto the track. Concerts go on all through Carb Day for the fans to hear great bands play and give them another option when walking around the track, last years Jane’s Addiction, O.A.R., and 38 Special will be performing as the headliners. Fans can get garage passes that allows them to walk around the garages that connect to Gasoline Alley, it is three buildings long being used by stock cars and IndyCars. When you have the garage pass fans will be able to mechanics working on cars and drivers hanging around their garage. If fans want an even better experience they can get pit passes that can usually get them into the garages as well, they will be able to see how the pit is and the race members working in the
