Should He be Fired? 12-18 Yes, I agree with Toni’s decision to allow Bill to keep his job, but only due to the customer returning the money. Bill is human and mistakes happen, but had Bill abided by written protocol regarding the money counting, he may have avoided the mistake. However, had the money not been returned, I feel Bill should have been terminated while having to repay the thousand dollars mistakenly given to the customer. 12-19 The signal given to other store managers may be that Toni is a decent human being and understands mistakes happen.
