Dear Jury Members: Wouldn’t you be happier if there were fewer crimes in the U.S. that led to deaths and injuries? Well, so would I. This is why people who commit extremely bad crimes that affect many people's lives need to be put away. Many innocent people are affected every year by crimes of theft, murder, etc., and this is why David Eldridge should be found guilty of murdering Mr. Armes in the first degree because reasonable evidence shows David Eldridge murdered Mr. Armes. David Eldridge was the only person other than Mr. Armes who had keys to the restaurant and knew the combination to the safe. Mr. Armes’s safe was also found open, and the recipe for his Super Burger was not found in it. William Warden saw David Eldridge enter the Family Fun restaurant two hours before Mr. Armes was found dead. An hour later, he heard Mr. Armes screaming loudly. After waiting a while, Warden went into the restaurant to investigate, and that’s when he found the dead body.
