On June 9, 2008, two year old Caylee Marie Anthony goes “missing” in Orange County, Florida. Could she actually be missing, or is there more to the story than her mother, Casey Anthony, isn’t telling us? Casey Anthony is believed to have allegedly murder her two year old child, so she could have more of a social life. I have done some research on this case myself, and I have come to the conclusion that Casey Anthony is, in fact, guilty of Aggravated Manslaughter to a Child. Casey Anthony gave birth to Caylee on August 9, 2005, at the age of 19. On June 9, 2005 Casey claims Caylee is “missing.” She says she dropped Caylee off at a babysitter’s house, but that is later proven to be a lie. Cindy later finds Casey’s car, which contains an awful stench of death, which later proves to be the odor of human decomposition on July 15, 2008. On the same day, Casey admits to not seeing her daughter for more than 30 days. “Casey was arrested on July 16, 2008, for suspicion of child neglect. She was later released on August 21, when bounty hunter Leonard Padilla posted a $500,000 bail. Padilla hoped Casey would lead detectives to find Caylee, but he was disappointed when she failed to provide additional clues. Padilla labeled Casey narcissistic and promiscuous, fueling the fires of public sentiment against the young woman. The case became a national media sensation, and many in the public and the press were outraged at Casey’s behavior. Casey was back in jail only eight days after being released, this time charged with forging checks and identity theft.”(Biography p. 2) Casey was in and out of jail throughout the whole trial; proving that she didn’t care about her two year old daughter being gone. “Somebody searched ‘fool-proof suffocation’ the day Caylee died; it was Casey Anthony who did the search.
