Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamarlan set off two bombs near the finish line of the marathon, killing three people and wounding over 260 more . Tsarnvaevs older brother had been killed during a gun battle with the police and Dzokhar had later been arrested. The younger of the two brothers was then put on trial and later facing death on 17 counts and being sentenced to death.

I believe that the response that was given to such an event was exactly what was needed, and for the local authorities to shut down MBTA and many other things along with it was a smart move. The bombing had two suspects both who were brothers and later on in 2012 their family emigrated to the United States. The Boston Massacre was a pivotal event in history for America. Blood was shed, friendships were broken, and somehow, in the end, liberty and revolution resulted from it all. Although appearing to be a simple event from the outside, one would be surprised at the Boston Massacre's complexity and its effects on the revolution afterward. These actions and responses changed over time and went through different phases as the events began to unfold. Proposal Over the past couple months, the phrase “stick to sports” has been thrown around a lot when an athlete expresses his or her opinion on a political or social issues.
