On April 15, 2013 The Boston Marathon Bombing happened in Boston, Massachusetts Patriots Day a Holiday in Massachusetts, the start of Revolutionary War (1775-1783) The Boston Bombing damaged many of eardrums, within 20 minutes of the attack, patients began to roll into the hospital, sometimes two people in one ambulance, and many were losing so much blood, that they were within minutes of death Doctors worked Fiercely to repair severed arteries and damaged blood vessels, close gaping wounds. In many cases they had to amputate legs because injuries were so extreme 40 or more patients brought to the hospital survived. In total 264 people were injured in the explosion at least 14 of them lost their limbs. Three died on the way to the hospital plastic surgery and skin grafts to close wounds some also fought off life threating infections. By April 22, approximately 50 injured in the Marathon Bombing remained in the hospital, many had undergone many surgeries to work on amputated limbs, cleaned out sharpel, set broken bones, repaired damaged veins and nerves.
