I think that during W.W.2, When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor that it was a terrorist attack. This event reminds me of 9/11 because It happened out of nowhere. We were also not at war at the time with Iraq. The same events that could relate to each other is They both devastated America, not only that but they both attacked us with planes.
Did you know that the 9/11 attack was not the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center? On the 11th of September in the year 2001, Islamic terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes and crashed two of them in the World Trade Center in New York City. One of the other planes was crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia while the last plane was driven to the ground in a field in Pennsylvania. 9/11 changed American society by improving security but also by increasing ongoing wars. Immigration and deportation were also increased because of 9/11.
the purpose of the attack was to hurt the united states, because the terrorist group al-qaeda hates the fact that the united states has freedom and the democracy and afghanistan, where al-qaeda is located, does not. The al-qaeda group felt that if they cannot have freedom than no one should have freedom. The result of the attack only created a religious intolerance and injustice for muslims, that made people think that all muslims were terrorists and that they should be punished. I do believe that al-qaeda should be punished, but al-qaeda has nothing to do with the muslims community, or muslims beliefs, but still muslims have been discriminated against and treated unfairly because people do not have a knowledge of who committed the attack, and in general people have an intolerance for people that are
Historical Context On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked the Unites States. They hijacked airplanes in mid-flight. The terrorists flew two of the planes into two skyscrapers at the World Trade Center in New York City. During the attacks, there were 2,996 people killed and more than 6,000 others wounded.
September 11th was a tragic day for the American people as we witnessed the economic and military symbols of our great country go up in flames. Hijackers overcame authorities on four different planes and used them to inflict insufferable damage amongst our people. Two planes crashed into the North and South towers of what was known as the World Trade Center that ultimately caused its collapse. The collapse killed thousands of people who were trapped in and around the building and even affected other structures within the city as debris fell from the buildings and filled the streets of Manhattan, New York. Before the terrible event of 9/11 many United States citizens could agree that they felt generally safe living in the U.S. People could live their lives and not worry about an attack against them or their love ones. Everyone was friendly and opened to each other because there was no fear. But, unfortunately the views of everyday living have changed as a result of the attacks on the United States. The continued threat of terrorism has affected the lives of Americans in negative ways. 9/11 has made a big impact and has effected U.S citizens for many reasons.

The 9/11 tragedy was a moment where people had their guard up at all times. This was a time where life had strike to reality of time warfare with every person and country. Couldn’t trust no one that came to the U.S. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, were brave because the generations before us had to face what had happened and to what is going to happen. This had left the buildings torn instantly killing hundreds of many people, getting them stuck in the higher floors. The 9/11 attack on the U.S. was carried out by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda ( managed by Osama Bin Laden ) resulting in the loss of thousands of lives creating a comprehensive response from the US government. This attack can increase the paranoia and trust issue among the American people, which would result in a possible increase in national security that would erode civil liberties. On the other hand, the US can become more aggressive in response to the terrorist attack.
The shock and disbelief of 9/11 revealed that America felt that something like this could not possibly happen to us. It showed that the security of our country had been compromised

Gas warfare was a very effective war tactic. The effects of gases were unbearable, which is what caused them to be so heavily feared. Luckily, by the time that World War II came about protective masks called, gas masks had been invented.
It showed that even the most powerful country in the world was subject to attack. This attack exposed the vulnerability of the United States as a nation. The 9/11 attacks changed the country forever; some lost family members, friends, and those who survived are forever hunted by the events of September 11, 2001. The entire country was in pandemonium including my family.
Many of us remember the events of 9/11, witnessing terrorism on our doorstep. Our carefree world had changed in an instant on that day. Terrorism on our turf demonstrated how vulnerable we are quickly reminding us that we are not as indestructible as we may have previously thought. Terrorism comes in many forms, from a single person wishing to make a political statement or religious groups who wish to spread fear in order to attain ideological goals (Haddow, Bullock, & Coppola, 2014). The targets of the attacks that day were specific to the terrorist but gave us insight as to the vulnerability many of our critical infrastructures are to the terrorism.
