Social media has become the biggest technological revolution of the 20thcentury with a considerable number of the people of the world having contact to it. Social media provide an environment of social collaboration through publishing techniques which are highly accessible. Using technologies based on the Web, social media transform media monologues into social dialogues. With the rapid growth of social media activities, it has been noticed that it is incorporating the daily lives of many people especially the youths. The advent of the Internet and digital communication technologies has greatly contributed to the revolution of youth oriented media. Social media websites also offers the opportunity to expand their contacts to obtain information and exchange thoughts.
(Teresi,2012)states that“It also provides the quick and easy way to circulate messages to a large circle of people without physical movement and from the comfort of their homes.” (Westerman,Spence and Heide,2012:201) note that “the social media have gained increased usage rapidly for a variety of reasons. News and information is one such reason.”
The intensity and speed of news articles published on the Internet can be a cause of stress for politicians who are forced to respond almost immediately in the current political environment. It is common for the generation of social networks to scan their live broadcasts on Facebook or Twitter and choose the most interesting stories
