World tourism have been growing from 25million in 1950 to 9.24billions in 2008 noted almost 6.5% increased every year. At the same time, tourism revenue recorded 11.2% per average year, which is more than World GDP. However, there is some statistics decrease as shown. In 1950, 15 countries have monopolize 88% of world tourists and in 1970 it become 75%, and in 2008 it decreased to 52.9%, which shows that world tourists visits not only limited to advanced countries but also developing countries as well. Although continuous growth has been growing for the past 60 years, there was situation due to the global risk, whole countries recorded minus growth. Seawater around the area has also been leaked with radiation, causing the seafood to be at the risk of absorbing radioactive elements. Back in the Singapore, there have been cases of pregnant woman coming back to Singapore after visiting Japan, losing their children, high chance due to radiation as stated with doctor. This is why there are clinics now, which are offering check up for travellers who are travelling to Japan, to determine their chances of getting radiation. This in turn did deter some Singaporeans to travel to Japan due to the fear of exposing themselves to radiation. Over at other countries, there are protests at some countries to close all nuclear plants and to stop using nuclear plant to generate power. To sum up, after the Japan 2011 crisis, it did hurt the tourism sector in Japan. People now prefer to travel to developing countries like Vietnam, Cambodia or Thailand.
