SSGT Joseph White came into the local VA Community based clinic for medical care. When he was discussing his situation at home, the medical doctor found that it would beneficial that the social worker talk with SSGT White. The social worker obtained an appropriate assessment to assist with finding services that would be available to him through the VA and/or local community organizations for his symptoms and treatment options. When establishing a relationship with a potential client, building and keeping a rapport with the individual is key to a positive working relationship. The individual needs to feel that they are respected, understood, and listened to when the relationship begins.
PTA/PTSA elections for the 2016 school year were held. No Executive Board Member may hold a term for more than two consecutive year. After the election of the Executive Board Member, duties and responsibilities were meticulously explained by the President of the Miami-Dade County Council PTA/PTSA, Alvin Gainey. An Executive Board meeting for the 2016-2017 school year will be established at a later date.
The Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners (Board) is a state appointed committee comprised of nine members. Six of the individuals are licensed by the board and three are members of the public who have no financial or business ties to the field of healthcare. The purpose of the board is to issue and review licensure of psychologists and behavioral analysts, as well as review complaints against these individuals. The Board investigates claims of unprofessional conduct, and determines and enforces the proper course of action. Meetings occur monthly and all are open to the public.

The state of North Carolina has several mental health agencies that target the specific needs of youth and adults within the community. Each agency must oblige by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulations of Mental Health Licensure and Certification Section ( DHSR) as an operating facility. By Law, mental health agencies must be equipped with licensed professionals that are able to conduct assessments and create service plans for their clients. To obtain this license a counselor must obtain a counseling degree from an accredited University and take the state board counseling test to receive their License Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). This is the current status that Mrs. Stroman holds with the state of North Carolina.
In this case Beth’s mom didn’t want her child to have a paraprofessional which is understandable because since her daughter has Down syndrome it appears she has taught her daughter over the years to be independent and she strongly feels as though her daughter is well enough equipped to handle herself in a school high school environment. Although during Beth’s sophomore year, her original paraprofessional was replaced by one stayed on her like “Velcro” this is what Beth’s mom wanted to strongly avoid while her daughter was in high school. Since this new paraprofessional was always telling Beth what to do, and constantly insisting she leave class early, and generally making a scene of their interactions.
