For example, an experiment similar to this one could be how pressure could affect the time it takes for an Alka-Seltzer tablet to dissolve. Using A flask and rubber stoppers, you can compare the amount of time it takes for and Alka-Seltzer tablet to dissolve in regular room temperature water and room temperature water in a flak but with a rubber stopper stopping the air flow into the flask. This is related to the experiment performed above because the increase in pressure from the rubber stopper stopping the air flow in and out of the flask may affect the time it would take for the Alka-Seltzer tablet to dissolve. Another example of an experiment related to the one performed above is how the amount of water used to dissolve an Alka-Seltzer tablet effects the time it takes for one to dissolve. This also relates to the experiment performed above because it also affects how fast the rate of reaction is.
My experiment is elephant toothpaste were foam shoots out of a container or glass. I chose this experiment because I thought it would be fun to see foam shoot out of a bottle. You get to mix curtain substances together to make elephant toothpaste. I thought if I get a small bottle then the most foam should be produced.

The procedures for the experiment were; Go get a pinewood derby track, car, scotch tape, quarters, and a timer. Set up the track. Make the derby car with the instructions included with the kit.
For the math trial my group and I decided to take on this project at Mira Costa College. At Mira Costa College, we specifically focused on an object that is seen quite often in schools and in Mira Costa too. The object is a water fountain, which is very common to see and have at any kind of school. The water fountain we focused on was the one located very close to our classroom near the restrooms and vending machines.
During this project, labeled Body Farm, we watched how the decomposition progress affected pigs. We used pigs because there body is very similar to us humans. This project expanded over a period of 15 days, but we only observed 11 days. Before we started this experiment there was 10 different questions/theories that we had to think about and answer. So every day we would go outside and observe the pigs and record what happened over the course of one day.
Our project will demonstrate the law of conservation of energy by the marble being on top of the hill making it potential energy and when the marble rolls down it will be kinetic energy since it’s in motion. The energy of the ball rolling down the ramp is gravitational energy. How we would show chemical energy you ask, well we will show chemical energy by having the marble hit another marble showing their has been a change in the color making it a chemical change. Thermal energy is already shown because since the ball is moving it has friction and friction cause heat. Using a clock or proper time is one method of measuring time and I believe a clock is a device most people use every day. A unique perspective in regard to this subject is present in a write-up from The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, “We can see a clock, but we cannot see time. Time is what we intend to measure with the clock , but what are we measuring? (Dowden).
Define the problem- Time is a measure of which events are ordered from the past to the present and future. Time defines who we are in many ways. It determines what you do in your day and how long you spend on your activities. Our criteria was a 3 minute timer and the size of the clock.
The image on the left is The Old Church at Nuenen which was one of van Gogh’s earlier paintings. It had more somber and dark colors where it used more of a literal representation with the colors and the lighting instead of how The Church at Auvers. Van Gogh eventually became an impressionist so the painting on the right is influenced more by that time period in art with the wavy distorted lines to make the church appear to look like it’s melting and the many bright colors use a scheme to have viewers and critics to move their eyes around the painting with more excitement and without have to follow along a boring horizon. Since time is not physical and tangible concept, time travel would not need to move at the same speed as the physical world. “If it travelled into the past it would had been here this whole time… if it had travelled into the future it would still be here...” (Wells, Ch.1). Time Travel would be to replace our present conscious with one in a different point in time. One analogy would be if one ran across a field.

Both variable mentioned are going to measured (height and time taken), when conducting the experiment. In order to have a fair experiment, certain factors will be kept the same throughout the experiment: the same paper cup will be used, the dimensions of the paper cup will be constant (where external factors do not affect the shape), the method in which the paper cup will be dropped.
