Internet shopping provides added value to customers as they have a larger span of where they can buy their products and it also means that the customer can look at different shopping sites at the same product to see where the best offers and prices of that product are. An advantage of this is that people are able to buy the products that they really need for the cheapest price possible rather than trying to find one of the product in a store for similar prices. An example of how internet shopping provides added value to customers is by competition. For example people will tend to look on similar websites that sell the same products such as eBay and Amazon and compare the prices and offers so that they can get the best products for the cheapest prices possible. A disadvantage of providing service is that it may not be the correct service that the customer requires therefore deterring customers meaning less purchases will be made from the website. Another thing to take into account when changing customer perspective is ease and security. When customers go onto company websites they expect the website to be easy to get around and find the products that they wish to purchase. An advantage of this is that if the website is easy to get around it will draw in more customers because they would want easier access to get to the products they wish to purchase. A disadvantage could be that the website could only be made easy to use for certain groups of people meaning that others may not find it easy to use. An advantage of the use of security is that people who wish to use the website will feel safe when using the website rather than worrying about their personal information being stolen which means the website will gain more customers.
