Chapter 13: The expansive realm of Islam
Muhammad was born in 570 CE into a distinguished family of merchants. At the age of six, Muhammad lost both his parents and was raised by his uncle. As a young man, he worked for a widow named Kadijah and eventually married her in 595. Marrying Khadija brought Muhammad some elevation in Meccan society. By 30 CE, Muhammad had become an active merchant in Mecca. Muhammad was aware of many different religions and often engaged or interacted with them on different occasions.

It was a round city surrounded by three walls. It had a Caliph palace that was dome shaped and centered in the middle of the capital. Ulama, the religious knowledge officials and gladis or judges, were educated on the Quran and Sharia and resided in the palaces. The height of the Abbasid dynasty was when it was ran by Harin al-Rashid. Harin was often known to be friendly and generous. In 945, members of Persian rule conquered the caliphs and established power over the Abbasid dynasty. For two centuries, the Saliq sultan ruled the Abbasid Empire.
As Muslims traveled throughout dar al-Islam, they discovered different plant and animal life around the regions and would introduce to the other regions. Due to transplanting of the crops, they were able to have a broader diet. They were also able to grow different crops. They closely paid attention to the process of the plants life and developed extensive agriculture methods that still last in text today.
