The epigraphs of chapter 7, written by Mark Twain and Anthony Storr, typify the life of Chris McCandless and provides insight and reason as to why he went out into the wild. In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Mark Twain states, “There was some books…about a man that left his family, it didn’t say why.” This specific quote epitomizes the life of McCandless because he left everything and everyone with no warning nor explanation. The next bargain was the fiscal bargain, which was used through around the period of the 1700s up until the 1800s and further. The concept of the fiscal bargain was about rulers needing a larger amount of resources. To obtain these resources, they follow through with expanding on their core bargain with their people by exchanging an expansion on privileges, legal rights such as economic infrastructure, and an expanded internal security, for military power. Fiscal bargain is what makes it possible to have a linear military in which there is an exchange with subjects for there to be a permanent taxing and debt tied to them for the future of the state. This is what makes it possible for there to be giant militaries of over 200,000 soldiers as
The stolen valor act is about lying about having military medals and the supreme made it illegal in 2012. People were claiming that they were in the military to get money and properties. I think it is a really good thing that there is a law in place for this. John Abel was charged with robbing a bank with two other men. In order to distract Respondents witness the prosecution offered testimony that he and the witness were part of a prison gang that promoted perjury on the of fellow gang members..
Throughout A Separate Peace, there is a lot of objects that have deep symbolic meanings. One such symbol is a copy of The Iliad, present at the Winter Carnival. This copy of Homer’s classic epic about the Trojan war is a symbolic allegory for the war that’s taking place during A Separate Peace, and it’s burning symbolises the detachment and seclusion from the realities of war that it possesses. Throughout the book, it's evident that, for the longest time, Devon is untouched by the war. Finny himself outright denies the war's existence.

An example of this is the use of the word cradle when speaking of the weapon used to torture the "poor baby". I believe by
Gabriell Needham Response Paper 3 “Till Debt Do Us Part” “Till Debt Do Us Part” by Mary Loftus is a powerful article written to bring light to the effects that debt can have on a marriage.
