Chapter 1: Malala talks about how she is blessed that she was born during dawn but in trouble because she was a woman. The one main person to appreciate her birth was her Father’s cousin. Malala is apart of a divided group called Pashtuns who take up a demanding moral code of honor. Malala finishes off the chapter by describing her culture, where she lives, and her family and how they are poor and very religious.
Chapter 2: Malala explains that her father had a stutter but was still better treated by his parents than his sisters were. She explains things about Pakistan like how they are newly founded, there relationship with American, and their interaction with Osama Bin Laden. Malala says she doesn’t support the practice of “jihad” by Muslims

To much surprise Malala’s father remained the only one to speak out against these actions by the taliban against the Quran. In 2007 many taliban supporters rallied up and waged war against the Pakistan government. After a failed attempt on the murder on Bhutto the Pakistan government went on full protect mode against the taliban. Eventually Bhutto was successfully assassinated which made many people happy because they supported the taliban.
Chapter 11: The taliban started to target girl schools in Pakistan by blowing them up. Malala was terrified because many schools were getting destroyed, but her father told her to not get scared. Ziauddin along with other people against the taliban joined together made speeches against Fazullah. After 400+ girl schools were destroyed Malala’s was the next targeted.
Chapter 12: When Malala turns 12 she begins to fight for equality. She goes on to say that the Muslims can’t call themselves good Muslims if they kill other Muslims. Many people don’t speak against the taliban because they’re afraid of dying.
Chapter 13: Malala begins writing a diary about her experiences with the taliban. She talks about the requirements the taliban makes them and many other stuff. Eventually Malala’s class diminishes to 10kids. Malala meets an American named Adam Ellick who helps her and her father out and offer Malala’s father a
