Having to choose between what is right for her mother or father, would have to be the hardest decision Ashleigh will have to make. Ashleigh’s father takes her out to eat at a diner because he has something to celebrate. At the diner, he asks Ashleigh if she will take her mom's emergency money and give it to him. He needs the money to pay someone back, and he will be set for life. When Ashleigh goes back to her mother’s apartment and looks at the teapot holding the money, she realizes that she has to make a huge decision. Ashleigh took the money from her mother’s teapot for her father because he kept making her feel special and he said her mother won’t find out about the money being taken, and he tells Ashleigh things that will convince her to take the money for him. Telling Ashleigh that will make her think she won’t get in trouble with her mother, that her dad would be the one to get in trouble.
