The changes that I have made from the original story include the atmosphere and how the Capulets and Montagues interact. In my comic book, I have presented a couple of aspects of this like when Tybalt is sorrowful when he murders Mercutio. I decided to give less importance to certain characters like Lady Capulet, Lady Montague, Benvolio, and even Mercutio. For Mercutio, I had changed the original scene of when he speaks a curse that will rise upon the two houses to him only blaming Romeo. This was a contributing factor I had thought out because when Mercutio curses the two houses it was very impactful to the lovers, but in my story, I had chosen to focus on a happy ending. Other changes to my story include the language whereas in the book it is portrayed by the man himself, William Shakespeare. At most times, I used dialogue that was almost like the original text but in modern language. For example, I wrote the scene where Romeo is rushing too swiftly and Friar Lawrence speaks about his tendency to rush too often, however I translated the original text into my own words. Additionally, Benvolio’s characterization doesn’t necessarily have much scope in my story, but I did include his benevolent and honest personality. Characters are only one of the few changes I had made. Also, I had purposely skipped the scenes that involved mature content. I didn’t want to add that because it was not something I wanted to input for my audience. I am aiming for teens and maybe even younger children as for my audience. I manipulated the scene where Juliet is ferocious of what to do when she finds out that Romeo had killed Tybalt, and then she asks Friar Lawrence and he gives her a potion to whenever Juliet decides to take the potion, she waits for Romeo to see her taking it. A new aspect to the story that I added is a major duel between Lord Capulet
