While the North tried to stop the South from withdrawing their spot in the Union, the North also denied the Southern states rights. Sectional groups assembled in the North regarding the “unnatural feeling and hostility” to slavery in the South. “ By consolidating their strength, they have placed the strength... no avail in protecting Southern rights (Document I). The Northerners believed that slavery is not right, and also that “the demand of African slavery throughout the confederacy” is unheard of.

There are our four main reasons why the economy of the South became so bad during the Civil War. One reason was present even before the war because the North had been very strong industrial and transportation businesses while the South lacked in that same category due to the focus of plantations and slavery. The second reason why the economy was weak was because during the war, the battles were mostly faught in the South leaving areas of land destroyed such as plantations. The plantations were apart of how the South made money therefore once some plantations were gone then money from those plantations were also gone. A third reason why the economy of the South became bad during the Civil War was because of the Union blockade of Southern ports.
The South, which was known as the Confederate States of America, seceded from the North, which was also known as the Union, for many different reasons. The reason they wanted to succeed was because there was four decades of great sectional conflict between the two. Between the North and South there were deep economic, social, and political differences. The South wanted to become an independent nation. There were many reasons why the South wanted to succeed but the main reason had to do with the North's view on slavery.
There were a few events preceding the South’s secession that were not directly related to the South’s secession. One of these events is the Adams-Onis treaty. This treaty gave Florida to the United States and changed the borders of the United States. Another event is the tariff of abominations. The events I believe were most responsible for the South’s secession were the Crittenden Compromise and the Charles Sumner speech and results.
The Blue Ridge region is found north of the piedmont and in the northeast section of Georgia. The Appalachian mountain trail starts in the Blue Ridge region and ends in Maine, and apples are the main crop of the region. The Chattahoochee and Savannah River also start in the Blue region. This region mainly consists of mountains, rivers, and basins, and was to the first gold rush in Georgia. I think of The Blue Ridge region as the heart and soul of Georgia with the amazing mountains, wildlife, landscapes, and views.
In my essay I will be talking about the advantages that both the North and South had during the war. I will discuss the political, social, economic, and demographic advantages. The Civil War started in 1861 on April 12th. The North was ruled by Ulysses S. Grant and the South was ruled by Robert E. Lee. The North Was named the Union and the South was named the Confederates.
The Civil War resulted due to the division and the gradual collapse of the Union between the two sections. It can be argued that both the North and South were distinct regions. However, both regions initially displayed nationalism in various ways at the beginning of the Civil War. Southern nationalism allowed the Confederates to justify their secession and independence. The formation of the Confederacy and the established Confederate Constitution in February 1861, nationalism validated their status as an independent country.

To be more exact I would live in Virginia even though Carolina happen to be more smart when it came to basically everything else than any other colonie. Most importantly why I would chose to be here is because they had access to the cash crops of the time, Tobacco. It allowed the lowest of society to become something and to become very wealthy.

But why do I want to live there?Because their would be many argiculture which means many mor tradeing and cash crops. Since the South has many cotton and rivers to trade therefore. You can trade and sell crops for a living of a family.

But some people have adapted to the farmland and still get a little food. They even plant things like millet and sorghum. Which is easy to grow. Even if it's not that much it is something. But the crops/soil would probably be more fertile down south because it rains there more.
