Charles Darwin, was a great historical figure who was best known for his study of evolution and his process of natural selection. He was born in February 12, 1809 at Shrewsbury, England and died in April 19. 1809. He contributed to many the fields of science such as psychology, botany, and geology. Darwin also had written several books that contained a lot of information about what he had learned though his study’s. Darwin was a very important role on how we see psychology today. Growing up Charles Darwin had four older siblings. Their family, was doing good financially. Robert Darwin who was Charles dad worked as a physician. His mother stayed at home and was in charge of the house children and finances. When Charles Darwin was eight his mother died of cancer. Darwin also went on a five-year voyage to study plants, animals, and fossils of extinct mammals. On his voyage he sailed a ship called the H.M.S Beagle. The ship set sail in the year of 1826 to explore the coastline of South America. The ship its captain sank into a depression, the depression was most likely caused by the isolation of the voyage, he ended up committing suicide. After the incident took place Lieutenant Robert Fitzroy toke command and was able to safely return the ship in the year of 1830. He has also written a book about his voyage, it was titled On the Origin of Species Beagle. The book is still in print today and available in some stores. Darwin had written several other books beside On the Origin of Species. Each book had something to contribute to the field of
