Many people would agree that the person’s childhood is one of the most crucial time periods that person will have. It helps sculpt them into who they will become for the rest of their lives, which unfortunately did not play in the favor of Charles Manson. Born without a father, Charles Manson was left with only an alcoholic prostitute as a mother. The teen mother, Kathleen Maddox, was a heavy drinker and was sentenced to prison for armed robbery in 1939 when Charles Manson was 5 years old. After 13 years of enduring abuse from his mother and the many lovers she brought into the home, she then tried to put Charles into a foster home but was denied by the judge and had Charles sent to the Gibault School of boys in Indiana. The all-boys school did not last long, Charles Manson had left to go be with his mother, even though she did not want any part in his life. This resulted to Manson to resort to street life that was filled with crime. The killing spree continues on august 9th 1969, when Manson gives orders to a member by the name of Tex Watson, to carry out murders of Sharon Tate and her party goers. After the murders, the family heads back to Barkers Ranch where they resided for the second murderous run as well. Unpleased with how the murder went the night before, Manson orders the crew to kill again. Once again Tex is put in charge of the same group of the night before to oversee the murders of Leno LaBianca and his wife.
