Charles Mason, the devious, unstable, and manipulative individual who was able to convince teens to kill. He was well known for being the leader of the cult “Family” and the crimes that they committed in the late 1960s. With his empowering voice and attention demanding personality fear was stricken into many hearts. He used these advantages against the naive teens for him to fulfill his futuristic deceitful crimes. Mason, was dealing with teenaged girls who had low self-esteem, therefore, it didn’t really take much effort for him to place the idea as him being their “father.” Charles Manson was an evil man. His many ways to persuade others to do what he wanted. Creating what he considered was a family and training them to be killers. The members of the family were very dysfunctional. Internally, they had many issues and Charles knew had to feed on their insecurities and their weaknesses. He made them, feel better about themselves, gave them a sense of hope and after it was gained, he controlled them. Charles Manson made those …show more content…

Charles and went and stayed with her for a while until her mother’s boyfriend decided he no longer wanted Charles living with them. Manson was then sent to the Gibault Home for Boys in Terre Haute, Indiana. This is when Charles started to get into to actual trouble that caused him to be arrested. Charles had run away and was arrested. Charlie then was sent off to Father Flanagan's Boys Town. He also ran away from this home for a total of four days, he stole someone’s car and committed multiple armed robberies. After being caught again, Manson was sent to another school for boys in Plainfield, Indiana. This is he claimed he was being raped on multiple occasions. So like before Charles runaway, stole another car, but this time headed far away, to California. He got caught with a stolen car in Utah and was arrested. He spent three to four years in multiple
