11) The title of my book is Crash. This is a good title because it captures the overall feeling of the story. The main character suffers through a traumatic vision that eventually is all she can think about. The vision ends up taking over her life, causing her to “crash” or shut down. She is unable to make the vision go away, which causes her to act out of the ordinary, so her friends and family begin to worry.

Charlotte doyle character analysis Charlotte doyle is a 13 year old girl that went on this ship back to her family. Where was she?? She was at a school for girls. When she got on the ship she did not feel comfortable because she was the only girl on a ship of 11 men. The first day she was on the ship she was very shy and she just stayed in her cabin until the captain called her to his cabin.
She kept telling Jaggery that her father would approve of her. When Charlotte finally reaches Rhode Island, she realizes that her father is not like what she thought. He reacted to her ways the exact way Captain Jaggery did. For example, “Somehow you teachers there filled your mind with the unfortunate capacity to invent the most outlandish, not to say unnatural tales.” This proves that Mr. Doyle doesn’t approve of Charlotte’s behavior.
In the short story “Mrs. Buell”, Kate learns that everything is not as it seems through a series of events. When one considers certain factors such as abrupt personality change, encounters with unexpected people, and changes in first impression, it can be seen that there are many things to be discovered that may change our impression of one’s being. Kate is startled by Mrs. Buell’s actions when, she hurts her knee while walking into Mrs. Buell’s convenience store. Although, Mrs. Buell shows compassion towards her, Kate can’t quite believe that Mrs. Buell had shown any type of sympathy. This is evident when Kate assumes, “She was probably sorry now that she’d fixed my knee.
I would definitely recommend this book because it has a great message and is very suspenseful. In the beginning, Charlotte is a very proper and shy girl. She wears a dress, gloves, and a bonnet. Charlotte worries about if her dress is wrinkled or dirty all the time.

In the biography, Escape From Camp 14, Blaine Harden shows that snitching in the concentration camps was widely accepted and encouraged by the guards. However, if the prisoners did not snitch on each other the conditions in the camps for the prisoners would be better. Shin would not feel the burden that he does today, of having some of his family killed, if he had not snitched on his mother. The overall living conditions of the prisoners would be better without snitching because snitching leads to cruel abuse and if someone snitches on you, you are the one who is beaten.
