Charlotte doyle character analysis Charlotte doyle is a 13 year old girl that went on this ship back to her family. Where was she?? She was at a school for girls. When she got on the ship she did not feel comfortable because she was the only girl on a ship of 11 men. The first day she was on the ship she was very shy and she just stayed in her cabin until the captain called her to his cabin. They talked and talked and then at the end of the conversation. They knew a lot about each other. so before they went to bed captain jaggery told her that she could trust him for anything she needed. The reason i think charlotte doyle is crafty is because she was always finding new way to get out of trouble. Some examples on what i meant by that. When she found a way to get the crew to like her by telling tem that she would be good for the crew . Also when she got called to go cut the sails free she would find the most fast and safest way to do it. And when she went to the cellar she somehow got out and went to confront the captain before she had been punished for something she didn't do. Also she is brave because she climbs to the top of the royal yard every day just to cut ropes for the sails. And also when she went down to the dark bottom part of the ship because she had to get her clothes. She was also brave because she stood up to captain jaggery and told him that she was going to be a part of the crew and he could not say anything about it. And the fact that she was able to have the guts to stand up and say that straight to his face that takes a lot of
