While some view Guevara as a noble symbol of rebellion and the common man’s pursuits, other, more traditional thinkers see him as a cut-throat and psychotic revolutionary. No matter your opinion of this widely controversial man, it goes without saying that he was extremely accomplished throughout his lifetime. This exposure can be attributed by his mostly leftist parents who owned a vast amount of political and historical themed books in their extensive family library. Although Che was born into a modest middle-class family, who had not much needed to struggle, but rather work hard, he inevitably saw the impoverished state that a large number of his fellow countrymen were living in. Poverty was very off-putting to Che, he could not wrap his head around the sight of some people living such prosperous and stable lives, while other lived in nearly cruel and inhumane conditions.
